In the DFS portion of this article every week, I will be giving my favorite plays in each range, my favorite pivots based on ownership and any fades I may have. In all price ranges, I'll be ranking my top 5 plays. My goal in the future is to provide projected ownership for each player I mention, but that is something currently in progress still.
10k and 9k range:
This range features 11 players going from defending champion Nick Taylor at $9,000, up to Russell Henley at $10,300. Below are my top five plays.
1. Keegan Bradley $9,300 MC… 30.50 points
2. Russell Henley $10,300 T-19…84 points
3. JJ Spaun $9,500 T-40… 80 points
4. Hideki Matsuyama: $9,700 T-13…81 points
5. Collin Morikawa: $9,800 MC… 30 points
8k Range:
This strong range featuring ten golfers will undoubtedly provide stability in a lot of lineups. This range goes from Brian Harman at $8,000 up to Kurt Kitayama at $8,900. Below are my top five plays in this range.
Chris Kirk: $8,800 MC… 26 points
Brian Harman: $8,000 T-61… 67.50 points
Aaron Rai: $8,200 T-50… 60.50 points
Rico Hoey: $8,100 T-50… 67.50 points
Corey Conners: $8,600 T-24…75.50 points
7k Range:
There are 35 golfers in the 7k range. Below are my top five favorite plays.
Matt McCarty: $7,500 T-55…63.50 points
Denny McCarthy: $7,900 T-40…70 points
Eric Cole: $7,700 MC…27 points
Mac Meissner: $7,500 T-40…75 points
Matti Schmid: $7,000 MC…29.50 points
Fade - Nico Echavarria....Although I do like Nico at this course, he looks to be the most popular play in this range. This is enough to warrant me steering clear of him and taking the chalk elsewhere.
6k Range:
There are 64 golfers in the 6k range. If you need to dive into this range, you are most likely looking for a made cut and someone with pop potential. Below are my top five plays in this range.
1. Takumi Kanaya: $6,700 T-31…70 points
2. Adam Svensson: $6,700 T-40…80.50 points
3. Zac Blair: $6,800 T-50… 62 points
4. Ryo Hisatsune: $6,500 MC…24 points
5. Max McGreevy: $6,900 MC…31 points
